International School of Christological Management

Why?

What will Christian spirituality do to modern managers? Aren’t only professional knowledge, abilities and skills enough for them? Isn’t that something illusory, unreal, vague, immeasurable, intangible? Maybe just wasting the time they need to make a profit? Something that managers just want to rip off their personal control over all business flows and processes? Dissolve or diminish their role? Something not worth wasting time on in these uncertain, turbulent, hard-to-predict times? Isn’t it enough for organizations to just develop cognitive intelligence well? Acquire talents who will have a high cognitive intelligence (IQ) quotient and entrust them with the tasks of running an organization? Eventually, do some emotional training and thus implement emotional intelligence (EQ) in certain segments of the organization to increase profits, market share, expand the company… Many questions, many challenges to them and still very few answers. The uncertain times of the coming humanity, prophetically alarm and warn that man, despite all the knowledge and information at his disposal, will remain essentially powerless in the face of numerous answers. The only real strength he can find for these answers in all spheres of work and work processes, markets and market unpredictability is in Divine grace and providence. The burden of the coming time is too great, and the intellectual strength and power of man is too weak for such a burden, whatever knowledge, abilities, and skills he has been endowed with. The manager of the future needs to understand that he must take on the role of a servant to all the people around him, to all stakeholders in the organization. It should be understood that he can succeed only if he becomes aware of his impotence in apparent power if he also places his life, success and work primarily as a service to the Supreme. It should be understood that God is love and that only love for everything around him brings delicious fruits. It should be understood that God has entrusted him to show and spread this love to every man, employees in particular. That through business he thinks at every step in the preservation of nature, because it is God’s work to be treated with high spirituality. Every stakeholder of the organization should understand the meaning of his life and work, which has more transcendental values instead of material ones. Spirituality is a topic today in which doubts are not raised, they have already been resolved, but ways are being found to apply it as well and as quickly as possible. This application has visibly begun in all segments of modern management.

It is the aspirations of many creators of social life throughout human history to reduce spirituality to “strictly” individualized frameworks (especially from business, entrepreneurship and business) have led to many features of the crisis and homelessness in which humanity has come today. Today’s general crisis of humanity is a very deep structural crisis of the human spirit, and the crisis of social institutions and business organizations, and the entire economy in the world, is a crisis of modern man and his fundamental values. Entrepreneurs and managers who want to achieve their set business, strategic goals will understand that without God’s grace, help and blessing and His will, there will be no organization in these extremely difficult, uncertain times.

Christological management as a form of spiritual management, unfortunately for today’s society, is not systematically studied anywhere in the world. Still, students at thousands of universities and colleges across Christendom are indoctrinated on the settings of management that originated long ago, at the time of the Industrial Revolution. Such management has been poisoned by a number of elements that do not have a significant foothold in the messages of the Gospel. During its evolution, management has managed to free itself and cleanse itself of these elements, primarily through the processes of humanization of relations among the stakeholders of the organization. But today it is still far from the will of Christ. Management as we know it now is an increasingly difficult concept to apply that increasingly shows a whole range of unsustainable settings. This has been confirmed by numerous authorities in the world of management. The meaning of Christological management was derived from Jesus’ words, “I am the way, the truth, and the life.” Stakeholders sustain the life of organizations by participating in a range of different business processes. In doing so, they try to choose the right path (strategy) in order to reach the set strategic goal. They have to learn, gain new knowledge and experience to realize what is true along the way. Through the Gospels, Jesus speaks of this Truth, which is of no alternative. The only true path to successful business management.

School Model

In essence, the model of this school consists of attempts to process an introduction to management and critically examine the unsustainability of the current concept. The basic contents of the spirituality of the company’s business and in the management will be discussed, with an emphasis on the Christian values on which the management should function. We have selected six areas of business management. These are:

  1. Introductory topics on the Christological approach to management and entrepreneurship,
  2. Christological approach to business communication,
  3. Christological approach to employee management,
  4. Christological approach to human resources management,
  5. Christological approach to business decision making,
  6. Christological approach to managing organizational change,

Each of these areas contains over ten topics. Each topic is structured in four related sections. In the first one are messages (quotations) from the Gospels that indicate (or can be meaningfully linked to) the topic being addressed. The second part is a brief implementation of the gospel message in management, ie a critical review of school participants on the existing aspects of business management that deviate from the words of the gospel and Christian values in general. The following is a test that aims to position the student with his views and values according to the message of the gospel and thus re-examine his attitude towards the resources entrusted to him for management. The last, fourth part brings stimuli for thinking. There should be only questioning, only analysis, critical thinking, discussion, conversation with “oneself”.
