It is evident that today there is a very pronounced gap between fundamental scientific research and their more intensive application in society. On the threshold of this thinking, an action was launched to establish an academy whose activity would be focused on applied scientific and professional research.
As its name suggests, the Academy of Applied Sciences is open to all scientists and admirers of science around the world and beyond the borders of Croatia in terms of its content and commitment.
It is an Academy that searches for the modern needs of the coming humanity, and there are more and more of them every day.

Vukovar-Srijem County and the city of Vinkovci in it certainly have significant natural and other resources that can be better used with the help of modern scientific knowledge and new research. Through the application of these findings, there should be quality support to all actors in the development of the city of Vinkovci and beyond. Vinkovci as a city with a long history and with its geostrategic position should realistically be the seat and nursery of a quality academy.
